Dear Home Veterinary Care Family,
We hope this letter finds you and your human and animal family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep clients, patients and staff safe.
As we resume normal appointment schedule beginning May 4th, you will see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
- Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask a few screening questions, such as background history of your pets and any ongoing concerns.
- One of our staff will bring your pet to our vehicle, where we can perform the physical exam and any required treatments. Pet parents will be asked to wait in their home until patient’s appointment is done.
- Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing and all of our staff will be equipped with personal protective equipment. We will communicate the findings of the appointment by phone and in the exam notes.
- To a greater degree than in the past, we will thoroughly sanitize our treatment area between patients and see only one patient at a time.
We hope that these extra safety measures will not significantly impact your pet’s experience and that we will be able to resume normal operations soon.
Thank you for your understanding,
Doctors and staff at Home Veterinary Care.
